Nature de cette pierre coquilli\u00e8re<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Le carbonate de calcium est le constituant principal de la majorit\u00e9 des tests et coquilles des organismes marins. La presque totalit\u00e9 de la production carbonat\u00e9e oc\u00e9anique est li\u00e9e \u00e0 la vie.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Ce sont des calcaires bio d\u00e9tritiques : on y trouve de tr\u00e8s nombreux d\u00e9bris coquilliers, et des coquilles enti\u00e8res, ciment\u00e9s par une matrice sableuse ou argilo-sableuse, mais ici aussi carbonat\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>La matrice (orthoch\u00e8me) est faite de cristaux de 20 \u00e0 100 \u00b5m, qui remplissent, par pr\u00e9cipitation directe dans le cas des carbonates, les pores entre les \u00e9l\u00e9ments d\u00e9j\u00e0 accumul\u00e9s. Cela indique un milieu de d\u00e9p\u00f4t assez agit\u00e9 pour avoir emp\u00each\u00e9 le d\u00e9p\u00f4t de particules plus fines. Ce type de milieu se trouve dans les zones marines peu profondes.<\/p>\n<p>Les fossiles constituent les alloch\u00e8mes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Les fossiles sont soit des moulages soit des restes r\u00e9els. organismes \u00e0 tests et coquilles carbonat\u00e9s augmente avec la temp\u00e9rature et la saturation des eaux, et diminue avec la temp\u00e9rature et l&#8217;augmentation de la pression partielle en CO2.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>II- Datation et Pal\u00e9og\u00e9ographie<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">&#8211; Cette pierre coquilli\u00e8re fait partie d&#8217;un ensemble : les faluns des mers tertiaires (-65 MA \u00e0 -2,58 MA), appel\u00e9es aussi &#8220;mers des faluns&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Elles sont caract\u00e9ristiques de pal\u00e9o environnements marins peu profonds (plateformes) et temp\u00e9r\u00e9s \u00e0 chaud.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">&#8211; Ce sont des zones de transgressions marines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Au niveau du Bassin Aquitain, cette transgression marine est la cons\u00e9quence de la poursuite de l&#8217;ouverture de l&#8217;oc\u00e9an Atlantique Nord. Elle s&#8217;est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e du d\u00e9but du Mioc\u00e8ne \u00e0 la fin du Mioc\u00e8ne sup\u00e9rieur. Celle-ci pr\u00e9sente une forte productivit\u00e9 biologique, ce qui capte les r\u00e9serves en Calcium de l&#8217;oc\u00e9an, d&#8217;o\u00f9 une augmentation de la s\u00e9dimentation carbonat\u00e9e.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">&#8211; Durant le Serravallien, le climat rafra\u00eechit progressivement, par rapport au Mioc\u00e8ne inf\u00e9rieur. Cela entra\u00eene la disparition d&#8217;un grand nombre d&#8217;organismes tropicaux, dont les niches \u00e9cologiques sont colonis\u00e9es par d&#8217;autres organismes mieux adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 un climat temp\u00e9r\u00e9 (mais encore chaud).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">&#8212;&gt; illustration par des dessins de fossiles les plus caract\u00e9ristiques.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>III &#8211; Exploitation de cette roche dans la construction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><u>&#8211; Cette pierre coquilli\u00e8re a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e pour la construction<\/u> car elle pr\u00e9sente l&#8217;avantage d&#8217;\u00eatre \u00e0 la fois r\u00e9sistante et relativement facile \u00e0 tailler.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">De plus, les carri\u00e8res d&#8217;o\u00f9 elle \u00e9tait extraite \u00e9taient proches de la ville.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">&#8211; La carte g\u00e9ologique de Mont de Marsan au 1\/50 000<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> montre que le Serravallien est \u00e0 l&#8217;affleurement au sud de St Jean d&#8217;Ao\u00fbt et tr\u00e8s pr\u00e8s de la surface principalement \u00e0 l&#8217;ouest de Mont de Marsan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Cela explique la situation des anciennes carri\u00e8res ayant fourni cette pierre coquilli\u00e8re. Elles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 abandonn\u00e9es par suite de l&#8217;\u00e9puisement de la ressource.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">On en trouve quelques restes au Manot, enfouis sous la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">&#8211; <u>Dans les murs des b\u00e2timents, on trouve aussi des m\u0153llons de garluche <\/u>(=alios tr\u00e8s indur\u00e9), constitu\u00e9s de sables tr\u00e8s ferrugineux compact\u00e9s. Les grains de sable sont ciment\u00e9s par de l&#8217;oxyde de fer, ce qui lui donne sa teinte.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">La garluche s&#8217;est form\u00e9e \u00e0 partir du Wurm r\u00e9cent (fin Quaternaire), \u00e0 la suite d&#8217;oscillations du niveau sup\u00e9rieur de la nappe phr\u00e9atique, ce qui provoque l&#8217;oxydation du fer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong><u>Activit\u00e9s envisageables<\/u> :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Se rep\u00e9rer \u00e0 l&#8217;aide de carte ou d&#8217;un syst\u00e8me de g\u00e9olocalisation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Communiquer en utilisant une expression graphique (croquis du donjon, dessins d&#8217;observation de fossiles)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00c9tudier une ressource locale ayant servie au b\u00e2ti (lieu de pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement, caract\u00e9ristiques de la roche&#8230;)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Se rep\u00e9rer dans le temps et dans l&#8217;espace, \u00e0 l&#8217;aide d&#8217;une \u00e9chelle des temps g\u00e9ologiques et de carte pal\u00e9og\u00e9ographique<strong>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong><u>Acc\u00e8s \/ S\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/u> :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Le mieux est de venir \u00e0 pied sur l&#8217;esplanade pi\u00e9tonne devant le donjon Lacataye.
