Le psychologue s\u2019est adjoint les services de Leonore Jacobson, directrice d\u2019\u00e9cole. Ils ont voulu \u00e9valuer l\u2019impact des attentes favorables des enseignants sur le niveau de d\u00e9veloppement intellectuel des \u00e9l\u00e8ves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">Rosenthal et Jacobson ont fait passer un test de QI \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble des \u00e9l\u00e8ves d\u2019une \u00e9cole d\u00e9favoris\u00e9e compos\u00e9e essentiellement d\u2019enfants d\u2019immigr\u00e9s. Puis, ils ont attribu\u00e9 un r\u00e9sultat sur\u00e9valu\u00e9 \u00e0 20% des \u00e9l\u00e8ves et se sont arrang\u00e9s pour que les enseignants prennent connaissance de ces r\u00e9sultats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">A la fin de l\u2019ann\u00e9e scolaire, Rosenthal et Jacobson ont \u00e0 nouveau soumis les \u00e9l\u00e8ves \u00e0 un test de QI.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">Il se trouve que les 20% des \u00e9l\u00e8ves dont les r\u00e9sultats avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 sur\u00e9valu\u00e9s ont augment\u00e9 leurs performances aux tests de QI.
